  • OXFORD COMMUNITY CAR VOLUNTEER SERVICE

The Community Car Pool is an organization of volunteers who drive those without transportation to medical and dental offices and hospitals for appointments and treatment.

The organization was begun in 1972 by a group of concerned citizens. It serves residents of all ages.

Anyone with a valid driver's license is eligible to join. Drivers may use their own cars or the town's car. Drivers may serve at their convenience.

William Crowther is chairman of the organization. Ruth Bloxam is dispatcher and Fred Rowland is in charge of maintenance.

Those interested in serving as drivers and those who need rides may call Ms. Bloxam at 203-888-5560 or Mr. Crowther at 203-888-9100.
